Introductory Session Goal - To acquaint participants with the Depression Recovery Program, which has helped hundreds of people recover from or prevent depression, enabling them to find positive ways to deal with life challenges.  The Nedley Depression Recovery Program is an eight-part, lifestyle program that will teach participants:

- Maximize IQ in children
- Increase energy
- Boost concentration
- Engage in healthy sleep habits
- Improve physical performance

- Essential information on lifestyle and diet
- Benefits and risks of psychiatric counseling and drug medications
Depression Recovery Program Developer - Neil Nedley MD, author of the books Proof Positive and Depression: the Way Out. Neil Nedley MD has served thousands of families for more than 15 years through his medical practice and extensive, worldwide lecturing. He educates students of all ages in nutrition and healthy lifestyle principles through his radio shows, satellite and cable television and live appearances. The Depression Recovery Program will start on Monday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Glendale Adventist Medical Center Auditorium (1509 Wilson Terrace, Glendale CA) and will continue through Mon., Nov. 2. (Eight CEUs available for nurses and therapists.) This seminar focuses on brain health and what a person can do to treat depression as well as the healthy lifestyle habits they can adopt to prevent depression; even for those with a genetic predisposition to depression. Principles in this program provide better ways to combat depression—how to know what you can change and what you can’t, the importance of minimizing drug medicine use and how to make use of effective natural therapies.
